What’s the best boiler brand on the market?
There are a number of well-known reliable manufacturers, which are trusted names within the industry. According to a recent Which? poll of nearly 3,000 boiler owners, Vaillant and Worcester Bosch are the most dependable brands on the market.
Both manufacturers scored an impressive customer satisfaction score of 83%. Only 29% of Vaillant customers said that they had ever experienced problems with their boiler compare to 32% of the Worcester customers.
Here’s a run down of the most trusted boiler brands in the UK.
Probably the most well known brand and is the market leader, with a very good reputation. They provide a range of boilers such as combi, system and heat only. They are quiet to run and reliable. Worcester is not the cheapest brand on the market, but is very reliable.
Another market leader which received a Which? “Best Buy” nod, these boilers are generally considered to be strong and efficient. Again, they’re not the cheapest of boilers, but are cost efficient and known for their ease of use.
Glow Worm has been around since 1934 and is now part of the Vaillant group. Their boilers are reasonably priced and reliable. They too are known for ease of use and simple to install.
These boilers cost less than the two market leaders, Vaillant and Worcester Bosch, but they have built a reputation for efficient condensing boilers. They have also been awarded a Which? “Best Buy” award.
This boiler is known for its great long-term warranty. With most of their boilers you get a five years parts and labour guarantee. Overall it’s a reliable boiler and also has optional easy to use wireless controls
Potterton have invested a lot in research and development, which has led them to winning a Which? ‘Best Buy’ award for two consecutive years running. Established 150 years ago, it’s part of the Baxi Heating group.
This is a less expensive brand of boiler. The Vokera boilers are not renowned for their reliability or long life span.
